A piece of Sharjah on the east coast where mountains close around the bay in a half circle. Facing the Indian Ocean, the water runs clear and calm, which suits diving. November, December, January and February work for the sea and the hill paths alike.

An old water channel threads between drystone houses, a watchtower and terraced fields. Tucked where the valley road stops, it escapes much of the coastal heat.
